Our History
Loudoun County (VA) Chapter’s trailblazing record as the first chapter chartered virtually is only the beginning of their remarkable journey. In early 2018, Chapter Organizer Amber Talbert boldly stepped out on faith, enthusiastically determined to unite her circle of like - minded friends to form a community service - centered interest group. With a firm foundation of friendship, coupled with a boundless determination to improve the quality of lives of all, particularly African Americans in Loudoun County, th e group forged ahead tirelessly.
To accurately reflect the group’s depth and breadth, they appropriately named themselves, L.E.A.D., Women Leading, Empowering, Achieving, and Developing. It was not surprising that Talbert approached all with the idea of forming a Loudoun County Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, an organization built on the tenets of friendship and service – the two things that brought the group together.
In November of 2020, they were granted Chapter - Elect Status as the Loudoun County (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and on December 5, 2020 were officially welcomed into The Links, Incorporated.
Today, Loudoun County (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated stands ready to serve the African American community in Loudoun County, i n ways that touch the unreachable, give voice to the unheard and create hope for those previously overlooked in our beloved community.
